Basically, all small retailers share the same trials and tribulations. Inventory control issues, sales lost to big chains that can undercut prices, getting product on time, juggling schedules to please part timers, expensive health insurance, long hours, low margins ... the list goes on and on. These challenges exist whether you're selling nuts and bolts or scissors and fabric. But retailers in the craft, sewing and needleart industry have one additional and rather unique challenge.
