The ability to create your own links and jump rings with wire will give your jewelry piece a different look than a project created using purchased findings, links or jump rings. As with most creative endeavors, practice makes perfect. I strongly recommend that you purchase less expensive copper or brass wire and practice making findings with that material before working with silver or other precious metals. Copper and brass wire are softer metals and easier to bend when learning new techniques. Save the gold, silver and niobium wires for when you're comfortable with the techniques.
