I was sitting in my local Borders cafe, my favorite place to write this column, when I was inspired with the topic for this month's column. "Large hot cocoa with whip!" called out the girl behind the counter, "Cream cheese swirl carrot cake!" yelled another boy. "Cookie crunch ice blended mocha!" came loud and clear a minute later. My stomach lurched and growled. "Gosh, that cake sounds good," I thought to myself, dismissing the impulse. I looked up toward the counter and spotted four neatly spaced fixtures loaded with Jelly Belly's, cookies, chocolates and other confections, perfectly suggestive for a captive audience.
