There's something inspiring about hanging a new calendar on the wall. It reminds us mat the new year can be a fresh start, and we can strive once again to make positive changes in our lives - and in our businesses - over the course of the next year. The wonderful thing about New Year's resolutions is that there is no law that says they have to be major accomplishments. They can be little steps, small improvements, that move you closer to your overall goal - which, as a retailer, likely is "To have a successful year." I remember this quote hanging on our refrigerator when I was growing up; "Behold the turtle. He only makes progress when he sticks his neck out." Every positive change you achieve in your scrapbooking store is progress. If you "stick your neck out" just a few tunes this year, it will be worth your while. Think about adopting these resolutions for your store in 2005...
