Hosokawa Micron's modular design downflow booth can be constructed using a new composite rigid polyurethane foam (PUR/PIR), which is said to offer significant advantages over the conventional double skin construction method. The composite wall and roof panel uses metal-faced sandwich panels with rigid polyurethane foam core that bolt together to give a rigid structure. Using this new material, Hosokawa Micron says, aids both soundproofing and thermal insulation.
