Sales of cleanroom consumables and hardware will exceed US$10.3bn (€7.2bn) ii 2011, according to Mcllvaine's Cleanroom World Markets report, although revenue from consumables will be higher than that from hardware. Sales of consumables are steadily rising, while hardware revenues follow the same peaks and troughs as semiconductor, flat panel and medical device equipment sales. The pharmaceutical industry is the one major user of hardware steadily to increase purchases, the report reveals.
