SAFC Hitech to build plant in Taiwan

SAFC Hitech, a division of the Sigma-Aldrich Group, plans to build a new, dedicated facility in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for transfilring, technical service and production of chemical precursors used for high brightness LED and silicon semiconductor manufacturing. The news follows the expansion of trimethylgallium (TMG) production at its Bromborough manufacturing site in the UK. The facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2011. It will extend the company's ability to serve the Asian market.
