Vaisala reports sales and profit increase

Vaisala, the Finnish supplier of environmental monitoring systems for critical environments, reported an 11% increase in net sales to €69.5m in the third quarter to 30 September. Net sales in the Controlled Environment Business increased by 16% year-on-year to €20.8m. The operating result for July-September was €5.3m, an increase of 517% from the previous year's €0.9m. Higher sales and a favourable product mix, in addition to ongoing efficiency and process improvement programmes are driving growth, the firm said.
