Recognising the Risk of Cytotoxic Exposure Among Operators

There are risks arising from the handling and administration of cytotoxic drugs (Antineoplastics) especially the safe transfer, manufacturing and preparation, waste handling and spill management of these drugs. Occupational exposure to cytotoxics is a serious issue within the pharmaceutical and compounding industry and is likely to occur when control measures are inadequate.
