Ardmac to build plant for WuXi Bio in Ireland

WuXi Biologics has awarded Ardmac the cleanroom construction on the biggest biopharma manufacturing facility to be built in Ireland. The Chinese CDMO has commenced developing a purpose-built facility at the IDA's 26-hectare site at Mullagharlin in Dundalk. WuXi's facility has been described as the "Factory of the Future" by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and is the first sizable greenfield project from China in the pharma sector. Jason Casey, Associate Director at Ardmac, commented: "We are delighted to have been selected as preferred contractor for the WuXi facility. This is an exciting time for Dundalk and we are delighted to be a part of their story in Ireland."
