Northcare (Scotland) Ltd is a family run business which has been established for over 20 years and owns care homes in the South Lanarkshire area. It expanded into the southside of Glasgow in spring 2012. Northcare has 290 residents that reside across 4 different care homes. In 2010, Margaret Sawers, managing director at Northcare, contacted Thain Commercial to trial a Miele G 7859 dishwasher, having been impressed with the Miele laundry products she already had on site. "We were so impressed with Miele's G 7859 that we now have nine of them in use throughout our four sites," said Sawers. "The G 7859 is remarkably quiet for a commercial dishwasher, so it can be installed in establishments where the kitchen is within close proximity to the residents, and not be a distraction, which was a massive benefit for Northcare. Furthermore, the energy efficiency of the machines has helped us to reduce our on impact on the environment whilst saving on the bottom line, and the short cycle times mean crockery is ready in next to no time."
