ローレンツェン&ベットレー社rn（L&W）は110年前にスウェーデンで設rn立された，社業ほ製紙向けラボ用試験機，rn生産用測定器の製造販売で．そのミッrnションは製紙業界に貢献するために，国rn際的研究樺関と協力し最適な試験法を確rn立し，その製品を開発することである．rn現在，日々多くのパルプ試験がラボでrn行われており，このため自動パルプ試験rn機の要求はますます高まっている．%The company of Lorentzen & Wettre (L&W) was founded 110 years ago in Sweden and has been serving with advanced technological laboratory testers and production instruments to Pulp & Paper industry of all over the world. As the mission of L&W, our contribution for P&P industry is to invent and develop most suitable testing methodology in cooperation with world institutes.rnThere are now many kinds of pulp testing of which required daily frequent measurement in the laboratory, so that the development of automated pulp testing system has been highly demanded. Therefore, L&W had decided to develop the system named "L&W Pulp Tester", and put priority on two main purposes. The first was to develop the automated testing system based on ISO standard, which measured result is the same as laboratory testing by humankinds, in order to reduce manpower cost against a large number of frequent measurements. And the second was to develop on-line continuous measurement to know the variation in the process, which can create process optimization.rnL&W spent three years to develop the system. The first commercial prototype was produced in 2007 and installed at the TMP line of Norske Skog Halden mill in Norway, and then several improvements were done through the field evaluation for two years. In early of 2009, finally L&W launched the first system into the market as a commercial product. Today, it is so pleased for L&W to report this newest automated pulp testing system,L&W Pulp Tester, to this journal.
