The way forward: integrated waste management on the Isle of Wight

On Friday 22nd September 2000, a group of 40 delegates from the London and Southern Counties Centre embarked upon the short ferry crossing from Southampton to Cowes on the Isle of Wight to look at the island's waste management facilities and learn about their integrated waste management contract. We were warmly welcomed by Chris O'Brien (Vice Chairman of the London Centre) and then the floor was handed to Bruce Gilmore (General Manager of Island Waste) who provided an overview of the company, its integrated contracts and the facilities.
