Survey Reveals Income Increases for Wide Range of Civil Engineers

Data collected in April from an ongoing online salary survey sponsored by asce and the National Society of Professional Engineers (nspe) show that engineers in a wide variety of fields have experienced increases in both their base salaries and their total incomes, continuing a trend begun in 2005. The data further reveal that education, years of employment, the number of people supervised, and the type of specialty in which a participant practices can all influence salary.
