U.S. EPA ORDERS CALTRANS TO IMPROVE ITS STORM-WATER PROGRAM

The california Department of Transportation, commonly known as Caltrans, is updating its statewide program for managing storm water in the wake of a recent administrative order from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The order stems from field audits of four Caltrans districts in northern California that were carried out by the EPA and the State Water Resources Control Board.
