IT can be hard to keep up with modern parlance in life, let alone in civil engineering (where even that term is waning in preference to 'infrastructure'). Building information modelling (BIM) has been succeeded by digital engineering, and the government's BIM Task Group replaced by the Centre for Digital Built Britain. Language evolves. As does the growing use of technology in construction - or is that infrastructure asset creation?
