Where Are They Now? Joe LaLiberte: A Korean War Hero, Competes with China Once Again

It was the early 1950s, and a young Joe LaLiberte was in competition with China. The competition at that time was for small patch of real estate in Korea―not for PWB marketshare. For those of you that don't know Joe, he is a 50-year veteran of both the U.S. Army and the PWB industry. While serving in Korea, Joe was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He received a battlefield commission and made 1st Lieutenant before returning home to start his career in the fledgling PWB industry in 1954. Joe does not speak much of his service time, saying only that "It was like any other job except that it was more hazardous; it could kill you," he said with a smile.
