TRADE SHOW TENACITY IN TAIWAN

The Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) held its third show under the motto "Lighting PCB New Vision" from October 31 through November 2, 2002 at the Taipei World Trade Center. While the show opened on the day of Halloween, it did not suffer from nightmarish attendance, attracting 215 exhibitors (2001: 176 exhibitors) with exhibits occupying 982 booths (800 booths in 2000). Attendance totalled 15,025 people. The opening ceremony, at 10:00 am, was punctuated with smoke and streamers, as representatives from the world's electronics associations were on hand to inaugurate the show's first day. A Technical Forum took place at Hall 1 from October 30 through November 1. The World Trade Center Buildings form a sizeable complex near City Hall, the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. A shuttle service, provided by the TPCA, provided convenient transportation between Exhibition Halls 1 and 2.
