News From the Land of Very Small Things: JPCA 2004

Several weeks ago, IPC's T/MRC meeting was regaled with the possibilities of nanotechnology, the science of very small things. Josh Wolfe, a Wall Street venture capitalist, discussed the future of fullerenes (buckyballs), nanotubes, and quantum corrals. Excellent presentations were also made by both Cornell University and Endicott Interconnect Technologies on nanocomposites, and on the potential for nanotechnology in semiconductor and packaging applications.
