IPC GR Committee Tackles Issue of International Trade

The two-year economic downturn and the rapid emergence of China as a global center for manufacturing during that same period, coupled with the slow pace of the economic recovery in the PCB sector has pushed the issue of international trade policy to the top of the IPC Government Relations (GR) Steering Committee's agenda. The considerable job losses and shuttering of plants has sent tremors through the industry and is still being felt today. IPC and the PCB industry are not alone in searching for ways to stem this tide and restore profitability to the domestic PCB industry. China's impact on international trade is a top priority for nearly every manufacturing trade association in Washington, D.C., and across the country.
