Seminars and Presentations: Why Don't More Take Advantage?

Recently, while attending IPC's Senior Management sessions the day prior to the Fall TMRC presentations (Scottsdale, AZ), I was reminded of the high value of these lectures especially for those who have not been around for a million years. Those of us who have been around for almost that long usually take the presentations for granted. For us, the real value attending these events is in networking and having a chance to catch up with long-time friends and colleagues, and get updated on the general happenings in an industry that has become more and more specialized. For those up-and-comers in the industry, however, those with a large but as yet not fully realized potential, the value of the presentations themselves can be very high.
