Developments in Image Transfer in PWB Fabrication

There are several steps in PWB fabrication that involve image or pattern transfer directly from CAD data or through an intermediate step such as phototool formation: drilling a through-hole or microvia pattern, forming innerlayer and outerlayer circuit patterns, structuring a soldermask, or applying legend print. The formation of solder ball arrays and resistor patterns by inkjetting may also be included here as examples of image transfer.
