PCB Industry Results for May

Bannockbum, III. - IPC released the May findings from its monthly North American PCB Statistical Program. Rigid PCB shipments were up 5.7 percent and bookings were down 4.1 percent from May 2007. Rigid PCB shipments year-to-date were up 6.4 percent and bookings were up 9.4 percent. Compared to April, rigid PCB shipments were down 0.1 percent and rigid bookings were down 5.7 percent. May 2008's book-to-bill ratio for the North American rigid PCB industry declined to 0.95. Flexible circuit shipments were down 3.5 percent and bookings were down 5 percent compared to May 2007.
