Markov Music Box Build a Microcontroller-Based Music Device

You can build a music device with an 8-bit microcontroller that enables you to change the device's note sequence, timbre, tempo, and beat. The design uses the Markov process to sequence the notes and frequency modulation to enrich the sound.I had two reasons for developing a microcontroller-based music device. The synthesis and sequencing algorithms are useful for teaching computational methods on small processors to my microcontroller class, "ECE4760: Designing with Microcontrollers," at Cornell University's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
