This system, which is built around an Arduino-compatible board, connects to a custom board that uses a solar panel and two rechargeable lithium-ion cells to provide continuous power. A wireless board integrating a GSM/GPRS modem, an XBee socket, an SD card connector, and a real-time clock and calendar (RTCC) enables home sensor and cloud connectivity.
