Why is data quality and governance so important to Smith & Nephew?rnIt relates to our overall strategic goals. We needed to look at our base data infrastructure across the entire enterprise and then make holistic decisions based on what data we had and what condition it was in. In our situation, we were affected by our disparate environment, as well as incomplete and inconsistent data. All said, if we couldn't put data on the table that made sense, how could we achieve our goals?
