Training projectionists for the Digital Cinema revolution

In coming issues Cinema Technology will be carrying articles aimed at providing projectionists with the training that they are going to need as digital projection equipment gradually creeps into their boxes. As a starter, we are grateful to Dolby for enabling us to reprint the contents of its Digital Cinema Glossary, and to Jason Power, the author, for explaining some of the seemingly complex terminology that the new technology brings along with it. Once you understand what the words mean, understanding the digital technology is so much easier!
