The Ritz at Thirsk

In respect of the article on the Ritz cinema at Thirsk, I have first hand experience of the CK37 projectors at this cinema. They did not come from a teaching hospital, but from the Creave Hall Psychiatric Hospital, Banks, near Southport - they date from the late 1960s.rnI used to go there with the CB Kalee service engineer, Charlie Hall, on my day off, for the monthly service. On one occasion we both got locked in! All the equipment had been well maintained by the hospital electrician, who also learnt film projection at the Odeon, Southport.
