A 66-year-old nonsmoking man was referred to thenpulmonary clinic for workup after abnormal find-nings on chest radiograph were discovered during hisnevaluation for cardiac disease. The patient had anhistory of mitral regurgitation and atrial fibrillation,nand he had lived in China at an altitude of 1,900 mnall of his life. He traveled to the United States fornevaluation of dyspnea.
