Letter from the Editor

摘要

A usterity economics is winning in America. It has become the cen-tral issue of our time and warrants our most focused attention. And it is all the more important since the Republican electoral landslide in November. In the view of this editor, we are repeating the tragic mistakes of our past. We are demanding that Americans tighten their belts in a weak economy as if that will restart economic growth. But even the International Monetary Fund has produced research to show that such austerity does not achieve that objective.
