摘要

Atomic force microscopy (AFM) has become an important characterization tool of solid surfaces since its invention by Binning etal. In 1986. AFM, applicable to non-conductive solid surfaces under various environments, should be an ideal tool for elucidating catalytic microstruc- tures. Despite its potential, there are only a few successful imaging of practical catalysts because the imaging technique is by no means routine. A review was presented of the recent researches with aFM that were directed toward powdered oxide catalysts, clay and zeolite.
