Launch orders for the PACAVI A320 P-to-F program: At the Cargo Facts Asia event in Hong Kong last month, PACAVI Group CEO Stephan Hollmann announced launch orders totaling 42 conversions for the company's A320 passenger-to-freighter conversion program. Hollmann said the orders were from two unidentified customers, one based in Europe, the other in Latin America. A week later, PACAVI, which formally launched an A320 Family P-to-F conversion program last September, said it had booked a third firm order, this time for five conversions, from a customer based in Africa. PACAVI inducted its first A320 (293, ex-Hermes Airlines) for conversion at the HA1TEC facility at Frankfurt Hahn Airport (HHN) in late January, and says that HAITEC is about to begin cutting the door. First flight of the freighter-converted A320 is scheduled for mid-next year, with first flight for the A321 P-to-F to follow a year later.
