Cargolux results overshadowed by more union strife. The positive news about Cargolux's 2014 results - a profit of $3 million, despite a fleet impairment charge of $40 million and a provision for any further antitrust actions - is being overshadowed by a new union row. The vocal LCGB union is once again up in arms over management moves, most recently the dismissal of three pilots, who had worked at the carrier for between 12 and 20 years. The reasons for the dismissals are not entirely clear, but the union alleges that the pilots were sacked for being off sick too many times in a three-year period. It also indicated that it suspected Cargolux had hired a private investigator to track the pilots' movements, although this has not been confirmed.
