In Through the Looking Glass, Alice finds that keeping pace with the Red Queen is very frustrating: "Now here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place." The Queen continues, "If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!" That logic applies in spades to the chill and perishables industry and the cold supply chains that seemingly need to operate twice as fast and twice as efficiently as other supply chains to prosper.
