As one of the 10,000 Americans enrolled in the Registered Traveler pilot program, Connors, executive director and chief operating officer of the National Business Travel Association, uses a special kiosk in the terminal to move more quickly through security checkpoints at the airport. The registered traveler project, coordinated by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration, is a test at five airports of automated techniques for verifying the identity of frequent travelers who have submitted to voluntary background checks.
