A CA and head of Canada's leading vaccine manufacturer has been named Knight of the National Order of Merit (Chevalier de I'Ordre National du Merite) by the French government. Mark Lievonen, president of Sanofi Pasteur Ltd., received the knighthood — France's second-highest civilian award — last fall for fostering cooperation and good relations between the two countries in the field of biotechnology.
