1. Aus der Informationsüberflutung folgt ein Bedarf nach Situierung und Individualisierung. 2. Bisherigen Lösungen in der Praxis mangelt es an einer geschlossenen Systematik beim Aufbau situierter und individualisierter Systeme. 3. In Forschungsverbünden entwickelte modelltheoretische Konzepte sowie praktisch erprobte Prototypen können der Praxis helfen, Differenzierungschancen wahrzunehmen. 4. Mit Forschung nach diesem Muster kann man aber nicht nur die Praxis unterstützen, sondern auch Risiken für die Wirtschaftsinformatik begegnen.%Information overload of customers, employees and managers causes considerable economic losses and social problems. Thus situation-orientation and individualization are quite relevant research topics that may offer competitive advantages. There is a need for design-oriented research methods, such as modelling and prototyping. Therefore, this article describes examples for research in this field and the transfer of results into business practice. It starts with selected insights of the research cooperation FORWIN, which focus on the application of roles for decision support of employees - especially managers. In the next step, the use of situation-orientation and roles for the support of customers in decision situations like a financial advisory is analyzed. Thereby the results of the research cooperation FORSIP are applied.
