Gwyn Griffiths, who lives across the county border in Crewe, Cheshire, rnhas provided me with evidence of a curious approach to customer care in a couple of Staffordshire bus stations. rnIn Leek, in north-east Staffs, he is the latest Buses reader to find a splendidly bricked-up and far-from-inviting waiting room. Its only virtue must be its apparent resistance to vandalism, but it beats me just why anyone felt they could get away with rubbing salt in passengers' wounds by leaving the 'waiting room' sign in place.
