Konectbus director to restore an Eastern Counties Leyland National

Ipswich Transport Museum is accelerating the restoration of its ex-Eastern Counties Mk1 Leyland National by lending it to Konectbus director Julian Patterson. Now 30 years old, former LN770 (XNG 770S) was the last of its type operated by Eastern Counties, which operated it latterly in its Rosemary Coaches fleet. It has been in the museum's collection since 1997, but because other projects have a higher priority, there was little prospect of an early start being made to restore it to original National Bus Company condition.
