Arriva moves wins its first routes in Stockholm

Arriva has raised its profile in Sweden by gaining its first franchise to run bus services in the capital Stockholm. The British group beat off rivals Swebus, Veolia, Bergkvarabuss, Busslink and Orusttrafiken to gain the concession for 150 buses' worth of work in the Ekero and Marsta districts of the city from August. The routes will be operated on behalf of the greater Stockholm transport authority, Storstockholms Lokaltrafik SL.
