In its Latest Reduction Of Its British Isles bus operations, French giant Veolia Transport sold its Hull bus operation to East Yorkshire Motor Services on 29 March. East Yorkshire has taken over around 1 7 buses' worth of contracted work, including four tendered services, two tendered return journeys on the Hedon-Hull route and some schools and supermarket services, together with around 29 drivers and maintenance staff. It is leasing Veolia's Wiltshire Road depot, initially for six months, and has acquired nine of its vehicles. The contracts taken over include the Walton Street park-&-ride route in Hull, which the city council terminates on 2 May.
