The Latest Round of tendered service announcements should please most people. Eleven of the 12 routes remain with their present operators, and 155 out of a total peak requirement of 223 will be new buses. The high proportion of these should please the vehicle builders too at a time when orders are becoming harder to find. With spares, the total of new buses should exceed 170. There is a slight inaccuracy within the figures, since the 155 exclude any likely to be required where one route contract calls for a mixture of existing and new vehicles. Biggest of the routes involved is Go-Ahead London Central's 63 (King's Cross-Honor Oak), with 27 new double-deckers, an increase of three. Next comes Transdev London United's 148 (White City-Camberwell Green) with 25 new and existing double-deckers, an increase of one.
