Here is an extra one to add to my list of dos and don'ts for a complaints service (Service Extra, December). Do not put stuff like 'thank you for your feedback, it's very important to us' at the end of a letter that has comprehensively rubbished a person's complaint and any suggestion that they should be compensated. People just think you are taking the Mick.
