Over The Past Few Years, There has been an increasing trend for the Big Three groups to concentrate on their core services, leaving evening and weekend duties, local authority tenders and school journeys to the independent sector. One of the first operators to benefit in this manner was North Staffordshire-based D&G Bus. Founded by current managing director David Reeves and his late business partner Gerald Henderson, it secured tendered work in Stoke-on-Trent and began operations with four secondhand minibuses on 6 September 1998.
