BRT possibly on the way for East Lancashire

￡45million of government money is promised towards the ￡50million Pennine Lancashire bus rapid transit (BRT) scheme to connect Blackburn, Darwen and Accrington. The plan is another to gain pre-election 'programme entry status' and envisages a statutory quality partnership between bus operators and two local authorities, Lancashire County Council and Blackburn with Darwen Council.
