Budgets for London Buses have certainly been tightened. Frequency improvements have slowed, at least in peak hours, although some improvements are still being made.rnA recent example came in January with the new contract for route 59 (King's Cross-Streatham Hill), re-awarded to Arriva London South, where the Monday to Saturday frequency has risen from every 8min to every 6.5min.rnSunday frequency improvements are more commonrn- and no doubt necessary. The latest total vehicle requirements on that day at the start of 2010 was 4,586, up 113 on a year ago. But weekday requirements, though a creditable 7,386, were up a more modest 75. Take out the extra 41 buses needed on the three former articulated routes and the increase was just 34.
