This book came out in November in time for the 50th anniversary of the first D9 and the 30th anniversary of the last.rnIn contrast with the London Routemaster, and as an integral construction, advanced specification rear-platform double-decker that is a contrast you cannot help making, its demise, from Leicester at the end of 1979, passed almost unnoticed. Mike Greenwood was one of a tiny handful of enthusiasts there and familiar his pictures of the event may be: but mercifully he is an accomplished photographer and they are superb, which is as well, as they are the only ones taken.
