Canadian trolleybus joins Sandtoft collection

The increasingly international vehicle collection at the Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum has gained a General Motors Fishbowl' single-decker from the Edmonton system in Canada, which closed suddenly on 2 May. No.189, new in 1981, was one of only 100 'Fishbowls' built as trolleybuses and also was one of 40 operated in Toronto on loan from Edmonton in 1990-93. It was deemed to be in the most original and best condition of the remaining batch when the system closed and took almost a month to reach Sandtoft by low loader and cargo ship.
