At last we have some light on the saga about buses running in high summer with their heaters full on. One of my more determined correspondents has been pursuing this matter at length with Transport for London, but to little avail.rnHowever, East London Buses chief executive officer Nigel Barrett has responded to him, saying that the matter is being fully investigated and is more of a problem than might first be thought.rnAfter initial investigation, East London isolated faulty heating systems, and in common with other operators, his company isrnpressing Alexander Dennis for a solution. A working party of all operators, together with a membe of TfL's engineering team, is developing an action plan based on available information.
