Buses and LibDem transport policy

Andrew Braddock (Inside Track, November) claims that there would be 'no chance of the mention of the humble bus [and] equally nothing solid on the climate change front' at the recent Liberal Democrat party conference in Bournemouth.rnBoth of these assertions are entirely inaccurate. Indeed, creating a greener and more sustainable transport network is at the heart of LibDem transport policy. We are firmly aware of the significant impact that transport has on our environment, and of the fact that transport is the only sector from which emissions have grown since 1990.
